Wikipedia Can Not Be Wrong

Some people say that because of its design, Wikipedia can be wrong all of the time. The fact that anyone has access to it, to change or add information, is a terrible variable. This is totally possible. Some pages on Wikipedia may just be spam. Just mindless meanderings that people posted as a joke. These pages are usually of no importance, so no one will see them.

I recently read an article in the New York Times Sunday Magazine about some of the data sharing systems that the spy organizations used. It said that after many tries, they adopted a Wikipedia-like site. Because of the vast scale of these organizations, there is almost always someone on the computer, willing to update the site. That made it so people looking for breaking news or information can pop on just about any time of the day and get the best of the best information. If the smart people in those organizations trust it, why can't we?

The large number of intelligent people in this world really helps out Wikipedia. All of the main pages have been checked a million times by individuals who are experts in particular subjects. It is a constantly growing knowledge base that will never stop growing.

Suppose Wikipedia is wrong. Why would so many people use it?
